FerrariChat - The world's largest Ferrari community. Motronic 2. Steveb Rookie. I have searched for Motronic 2. If it does exist would someone kindly post it, as it would help me greatly to rewire a engine I have with currently only the bare minimum of ECU wiring to run the engine.
Judging by the number of similar quests over the years it would be greatly appreciated by many members.
R32 ECU Pinout
I have similar pinouts from other manufactures but it would be a case of trial and error with a scope and multimeter to figure out the differences. Has anyone achieved this? Looking forward to a reply. Have you tried downloading a copy of thw workshop manual from All Ferraris?
Hi Jeff, Thank you for the reply. I have three volumes of F workshop manual printed in loose leaves. The third volume has some wiring diagrams in section L but I see now pages L32 to L37 are missing I have searched for All Ferraris as you suggested and found Ferraridatabase. Thank you for the tip, I should have looked harder and not believed this info was hard to obtain and not in the manual.
I am building a P4 replica with the engine and will be fitting a megasquirt ECU to eliminate the mass flow sensors, fit inlet stacks and have control over fueling and ignition. In the meantime I want to be able to run the engine and that means wiring the Motronic 2. The job will be a lot simpler now so thanks again. Steve Bradford.

Decades ago, the critical electronic components in a race car were the ignition coil and points. Race cars now feature advanced engine management systems, antilock brake systems, paddle shifters, dataloggers, radios, electric pumps, fans, and lights. All components need to be controlled at the correct moment, and all components require circuit protection to prevent damage or fire.
All of these problems can be solved by using intelligent power management units PMUs. Our newly developed PMU unit is at the forefront of technology. It provides 16 high current outputs and use of multiple units if more outputs are required.
